The Unearth exhibition is a result of a collaboration between artist Sara Ludy, Upterior and bitforms gallery in New York.
In Unearth, Sara Ludy applies attributes distinctive of her digital artistic practice to sculpture. Forms made of Waken Glass transition elements of the artist’s visual language into three dimensions. Sara Ludy, in her search for mediums that would relate to the digital space, came across Waken Glass: a union of two materials that have each been a conduit to her screen-based work. Sara Ludy explains: „glass with copper becomes a conceptual medium. It is much more vast in idea, which I think is very exciting.”

Sara Ludy is an American artist working in a wide range of media including video, sound, animation, VR, AR, websites, audiovisual performance, sculpture, painting, photography, and installation. Through an interdisciplinary practice, hybrid forms emerge from the confluence of nature, architecture, abstraction, and the unconscious, reflecting an uncanny presence that questions our relationship to immateriality and space.
Sara Ludy is represented by bitforms gallery in New York. Unearth is her second solo show at bitforms gallery.

Founded in 2001, bitforms gallery represents established, mid-career, and emerging artists critically engaged with new technologies.
